
Matthew H. Youmans

Born in Hartford, Connecticut in
1965. Mr. Youmans received his B.A. from Tufts University in 19
87
and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in
1991, where he graduated with Honors. He was a member of the
Connecticut Journal of International Law from 1989-1991 and served
as its Executive Editor from 1990-91. He was admitted to the
Connecticut Bar in 1991, and served for three years as a Staff
Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth
Circuit in New Orleans, Louisiana. Since joining Ford &
Paulekas, LLP, Mr. Youmans has represented clients in both federal
and state court litigation matters and real-estate and asset-based
lending transactions. In addition to his litigation and
transactional practice, Mr. Youmans now concentrates his practice on
counseling small and middle-market business clients in structuring,
management and employment matters. He is a Sterling Educational
Services lecturer on non-competition, non-solicitation and
confidentiality agreements.
